Council of Orthodox Churches Lenten Vespers to be held April 4

SOUTHFIELD, MI [COCC] --  Over this past year, each of us and our parishes have been impacted by the Coronavirus Pandemic.  We are all striving to begin resuming our normal activities, but we need to remain cautious.  As a result, we have decided to only host one Lenten Vesper service during this Holy and Great Lent.

The Council of Orthodox Christian Churches (COCC) of Metropolitan Detroit will hold its only Lenten Vespers service on the Sunday of the Holy Cross, April 4, 2021 (6:00 p.m.) at St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Southfield, Michigan.  The homilist will be Fr. George Shalhoub of the Basilica of St. Mary in Livonia.  We invite the clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Christian Community and members of the public to join us.  All are welcome!

Those attending are kindly asked to wear a mask and observe appropriate distancing.

COCC is a clergy and lay association that represents various canonical Orthodox churches in metropolitan Detroit and sponsors a variety of worship, fellowship, charitable, educational and outreach programs.
